Chocolate Bonbons

This small quilt features an on-point “Cathedral Window” in the center with a vintage Society Silk Doily in the window. The vintage linen is of linen fabric and gold silk embroidery. There is hand sewn beaded piping framing the window. The cinnamon brown cotton sateen background is a sampler of micro and larger quilting designs.
This is an original design by Martie Frazier-Stern. The heavy/dense coverage is all free-motion quilted on a stationary machine. The designs include: Feathers, pearls & swirls, rainbows, clamshells, herringbone, crosshatch, checkerboard, lattice, Nemeshing, pebbles, and matchstick.
The edge is embellished with white beaded piping along the inside edge of the binding with seed beads stitched along the outside edge framed with hand sewn cinnamon brown scalloped gradated beads along the edge. The backing is a cotton floral rose fabric.
The predominant colors are cinnamon brown, white and gold. The large, quilted feather motifs are quilted using Superior Threads Magnifico and all of the background is quilted with Superior Threads Kimono Silk.
There is a vintage doily used for a label on the back. The hanging sleeve is a vintage pillowcase with a crocheted beaded lace edge.
