Custom Quilted Vintage Keepsake Postcard- Vintage Embroidered Bluebird Sweethearts

Bluebird Sweethearts is a one-of-a-kind heirloom textile postcard, thoughtfully created from a vintage embroidered doily and transformed into a keepsake meant to be cherished.

At the heart of this piece, a pair of embroidered bluebirds nestle together inside a softly stitched heart, surrounded by delicate floral embroidery. The original handwork has been enhanced with custom quilting, free-motion embroidery, and additional hand embroidery to bring renewed depth, texture, and dimension to the design.

Along the lower edge, a hand crocheted lace border is embellished with vintage faux pearls salvaged from a crochet necklace and accented with Miyuki AB seed beads, adding subtle shimmer and gentle movement. The reverse features my vintage postcard printed fabric backing.

Designed to be treasured as a keepsake, this piece may be displayed, gifted, or mailed with care.

Each vintage textile used in my work carries its own quiet history, and no two pieces can ever be repeated. Bluebird Sweethearts was created to honor those materials while transforming them into something both meaningful and enduring.

Measures approximately 5” × 7”. Envelope included, with writing and mailing instructions provided. Individually signed and dated on the reverse.
