Vintage Pincushion- Purple Rose Embroidered Doily

This one-of-a-kind heirloom pincushion was created as a functional keepsake, bringing together fine needlework, free-motion quilting, and carefully chosen vintage textiles.

The focal point is a vintage embroidered hexagon rose, accented with needle lace embroidery and Miyuki AB seed beads. It is set atop a vintage embroidered doily that has been finished with a hand-worked needle lace edge, further embellished with seed beads.

The front is constructed on cotton sateen, while the back combines vintage feed sack and cotton sateen.

The pincushion is filled with crushed walnut shells for weight and stability.

Measures approximately 6¾″ × 7″ and weighs approximately 2 pounds. Finished with my personal label.
